Welcome! Our club was founded in 1974 and encompasses the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand. We hold one or two Championship Shows during a year, and also an Open Show in conjunction with our AGM. Our members receive a bi-monthly newsletter (Pawprint) and as we have a lot of overseas members, this keeps them in contact with what is happening in New Zealand in the Sheltie scene.

day I saw her standing on the sawn off stump of tree daring her
sister to try and knock her off, I knew I had a MISS THING! on my
hands. Gypsy has been a whole lot of fun to take to the shows, never
quite knowing if she was going to behave or not. She won her 1st CC
and Res of Breed, first week over 6 months, going on to win Puppy In
Show at Working Dog Champ Show. Her last point giving her title came
when she was only 15 months, along the way she has had some notable
wins, Puppy In Show (All Breeds), Res In Show (Working Dog Champ
Show), Best Of Group (All Breeds), plus other group wins. Thanks
must go to Peter Goodman who handled Gypsy for her 1st
CC, and Roy Lindsay who handled her through to a lot of her wins.
She is a personality, and a lot of fun to live with. Lynne
